Some cable companies use a technology called Switched Digital Video to transmit
TV stations. If your cable provider uses Switched Digital Video, you will need to
use an SDV adapter. Some cable providers only support two tuners with their SDV
adapters. Please contact your cable provider to find out if you live in an SDV area
and how many tuners their adapter supports.

Moxi HD DVR comes loaded with features and services. Here’s what you need to take advantage of each of them:
For basic Moxi functionality

For Multi–Room Connectivity
A wired home network router connected to both your Moxi HD DVR and your Moxi Mate.
If you don't have an ethernet connection near your Moxis, you can use Powerline
A/V or MoCA adapters for connectivity.
For Media Link
Media Link allows you to stream videos, photos, and music from your computer to
your Moxi devices.
To use Media Link, you need:
- A DLNA media server. We recommend: Windows Media Connect, PlayOn Digital Media Server, TVersity Media Server, or TwonkyMedia Manager. TwonkyMedia is compatible with Macs.
- A wired home network router connected to both your computer and your Moxi HD DVR. If you don't have an ethernet connection near your Moxis, you can use Powerline A/V or MoCA adapters for connectivity.
For Rhapsody
You can use your Moxi HD DVR to access Rhapsody’s 5 million plus library of
songs.
All you need is a subscription to Rhapsody Unlimited from RealNetworks.
For Finetune
In order to create a customized music library in the Finetune application, you’ll
need to sign up for a Finetune account and add your favorite music online. Finetune
accounts are available to you at no cost.
For Extra Storage
If you find yourself recording a lot of HD programming, you can connect an external
hard drive. Your Moxi HD DVR supports eSATA storage devices marketed or certified
for DVR use. If you have the need for large amounts of storage, we've tested
the LaCie "4big Quadra".
For Photos
You can view photos stored on the online storage service Flickr from your Moxi HD
DVR. To view your own photos, you’ll need to sign up for a free Flickr account
and then upload your photos to that account.
